THE TEXAS GYPSIES

The band is on two prestigious arts organizations’ rosters: The Texas Commission on The Arts and The Mid-America Arts Alliance.

Blend Together Vintage Jazzy Swinging sounds of the Great Gatsby era 1920s, a mix of Big Band Swing of the 1930s and 40s, a taste of Western Swing, then sprinkle some Django Reinhardt style Gypsy Jazz, a pinch of Retro Rockabilly, Brazilian Jazz, and you have The Texas Gypsies!

With violins, horns, guitars, upright bass and a retro style of drums they harmoniously create their own unique, classy and fun sound. They also offer a 1920’s show and sometimes the audience loves to dress in clothing of that era.

“With the release of Café Du Swing, the Texas Gypsies have accomplished what few bands have even tried, let alone succeeded in doing in the past. The group blends elements of traditional small group Swing, Gypsy Jazz and Western Swing into a tightly woven fabric of 21st Century sophistication and jumpin, thumpin entertainment!”
