BROADWAY, 40’S, AND STANDARDS
There are voices and there are Broadway voices. Karen Luschar’s voice has been developed through the triumphs of a Broadway based career. Whether receiving standing ovations from SRO audiences at Lincoln Center or delighting crowds throughout the country, her energetic and powerful onstage presence has won her numerous accolades by weaving Broadway songs and American Standards into dynamic theatrical performances. With her three-octave range and dancing feet, Karen ignites the stage, soaring on high-energy songs and touching hearts with warm ballads while celebrating the timeless music in her five acclaimed concerts:
Chasing Rainbows—Songs of Judy Garland
Broadway In My Heart
Singing for Victory—Songs of WWII
Mistletoe and Holly
From international conferences to concert halls, these great programs can be presented with the lush sounds of a pops orchestra, or the Big Band Sound using 5-10 musicians, or a musical trio. For a more intimate feeling, the shows retain their energy and drive with the engaging duo of vocals and piano accompaniment.
Karen’s background encompasses Broadway, Off-Broadway, National Tours, Las Vegas, Cruise Ships, TV, Commercials and Jingles. Her work has been seen in 49 states from performing arts venues, festivals, benefits, and WWII Veteran activities, to corporate events for companies such as Frito-Lay, Dr. Pepper, Wilsonart, The American Bible Society, B.F. Goodrich, J.C. Penney, the United Methodist Conference, and the Texas Credit Union. She has shared the stage with such show business luminaries as Richard Harris, Robert Goulet, Sandy Duncan, Frank Gorshin, and Christopher Hewitt.
With boundless energy, vocal range and musicality, Karen Luschar sings and dances her way into an audience’s heart. Always a special evening!
